Jallianwala Bagh

 Jallianwala Bagh...

It is only when you visit the place that you realize the truth of the brutal massacre that occured there...

Had the chance to visit the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar. Entering through the narrow lane, one could see how the brutal British troops entered and blocked any escape route for the people gathered in the Bagh. A peaceful gathering turned into a bloodbath with the Indian soldiers of the British firing at the crowds for around 10 minutes till they ran out of ammunition... Many jumped in the well to save their life but they died there....

In the end, 1000s dead, 1500+ wounded and to ensure they didn't get any treatment, the Governor Michel Dwyer enforced a curfew prohibiting people from walking on the streets. Many more died due to lack of treatment. Britishers like Rudyard Kipling justified this action and even praised Brig. Gen. Reginald Dyer. Dyer justified himself saying he was doing his duty but everyone knows the truth...

You can even see the marks the bullets left on the walls...

Till date, The Bloody British Government hasn't apologized for this massive massacre they did just to crush the spirit of Indians.

We never forgive, We never forget...

A 100+ years have passed and yet the wounds never heal
